Hurray! WhatsApp Now Has One Billion Active Daily Users

A big CONGRATULATIONS goes to WhatsApp for reaching a new milestone today, by having 1 billion active daily users.

As at last year, this popular messaging app, WhatsApp had 1 Billion 'monthly' active users. But they have recorded a tremendous growth. Now Whatsapp have one billion active daily users. This the company disclosed in a blog post, also stating that its monthly active user base has increased to 1.3 billion.

Additionally, almost 55 billion messages are sent every day in 60 supported languages. 1 billion Videos are also shared daily on this platforn, and photos shared has increased to 4.5 billion.

Excerpt from Whatsapp blog post:
"Just last year, we shared that one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every month. Today, we are excited and proud to share that one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every day to stay in touch with their family and friends."

However, Whatsapp's traffic is little compared to Facebook. FB announced back in June that her monthly users is around 2 billion, with its messenger app accomodating over 1.2 billion monthly users as of April. On the other hand, in June, Instagram announced it has 250 million daily active users, while Snapchat announced 166 million daily active users back in May.

I wonder who in Nigeria is not using WhatsApp.
