How do you feel when trying to update your device, you get a "memory is full" notification prompt? Well, the latest Android 8 streaming OS update feature will tackle insufficient memory issues when carrying out updates.
Reports say from August this year 2017, the latest Android 8.0 version, which ia also known as Oreo, will be rolling out via over-the-air (OTA) updates to some devices. And with this new 'Streaming OS Update' feature which is tipped to debut in the latest Android O, you’ll be able to download updates to your phone even when your phone is full.
According to the latest Android documentation, Google is inventing some scheme to make sure that an update will never be disrupted because of insufficient space error.
However inexplicably, the docs further states that Google is also backporting the streaming OS update feature to Google Play Services, which will enable it on Android 7.0 and later devices with a dual system partition setup.
